Empire Express, Inc., is a 48-state truckload carrier based in Memphis, Tennessee. Today we have 185 trucks, 24 regional dedicated services trucks, 92 over-the-road trucks, 60 lease-purchase and 9 owner-operators.

Our Typical Freight

We are 99% No-Touch Freight. 50% of our loads are packaged chemicals and related products. Approximately 25% of these loads are actual Haz Mat. We also haul retail consumer products, telephone and electrical cable, printed material and other general commodities.

Where we Run

Most of our miles are in the Eastern half of the United States (East of I-35). We also run South Texas; Southern California; Fresno, California; and Pasco, Washington. Occasionally we run New York City.

Our Equipment

1. Safe, reliable, and well-maintained equipment.
2. Assigned conventional Freightliners 2001-2005 models with air ride suspension, walk-in sleeper, 12.7 Detroit Diesel engines, 10-speed transmission and Jake brakes.
3. 53’ dry van trailers
4. All tractors are equipped with Qualcomm Satellite Communications.

Miles & Home Time

We only hire within our hiring area to ensure our drivers get home.

1. Home every 6-10 days
2. Solo drivers average 10,000 to 12,000 miles per month
3. Teams average 16,000 to 20,000 miles per month
