Company Driver Qualifications

Drivers employed at Empire Express must meet or exceed the following minimum qualifications:

1. At least 23 years old
2. At least one year verifiable over-the-road (48-state) experience within the past three years
3. Valid Class A CDL with Haz Mat endorsement
4. Driver must live within the company’s hiring area
5. Driver must be able to pass DOT physical examination
6. No more than three tickets for moving violations or more than 6 points on driver’s MVR within the past three years
7. No more than two non-chargeable accidents or no more than one chargeable accident within the past three years
8. No unpaid tickets or citations
9. No truck abandonment on work history
10. No more than three jobs in the past three years
11. No DWI/DUI or reckless driving violations within the past five years
12. No suspended CDL within the past three years
13. No past history of drug/alcohol abuse
