The Responsible Care® process was launched by the American Chemistry Council (ACC) in the United States in 1988. Responsible Care® is comprised of 10 guiding principles. Because approximately 50% of Empire Express' business volume comes from the carriage of chemicals and related products, we believe in the need to participate in the proactive initiatives developed by the ACC to protect the health and safety of employees, customers, vendors, the general public and the environment from chemical and HazMat incidents.

Aug 7, 2008, demonstrates our commitment to provide safe transportation of all chemical shipments.

Safety meetings are scheduled to update drivers and non-driver employees on current safety issues and company progress. This setting allows drivers who have achieved special accomplishments and safe driving awards to be recognized, and it also provides a forum for drivers to express concerns, share ideas and discuss issues.
