Empire Express drivers play a critical role in reinforcing the company's reputation by consistently achieving high levels of safety and service. For this reason, we are looking for the best, most dedicated drivers to join our team and, in turn, we provide our drivers one of the best overall work experiences anywhere. We also employ owner-operators.

Equipment

Our equipment is based out of a central location in Memphis, TN, and consists of safe, reliable, well-maintained, late-model Freightliners with air-ride suspensions, walk-in sleepers and equipped with Qualcomm Satellite Communications. Picture of 2010 model.


Miles and Home Time

Our drivers are home every ten to fourteen days. Solo drivers average 10,000 to 12,000 miles per month. Teams average 16,000 to 20,000 miles per month.

Over the Road Solo Driver Compensation

Semi-Annual Performance Based Compensation Package
Empire offers a Performance Based Package in which drivers are eligible for a pay increase every January and July. Drivers are evaluated and receive a score on their Safety, On-Time Service, Average Miles, Fuel Compliance and Fuel MPG. To assist the drivers in achieving the highest possible performance rating, each driver is updated monthly with their individual scorecard. The scorecard outlines their areas of success, as well as, areas that may need improvement.
